The newest course in the Huelva area opened in June 2000 at Cartaya. This course has three par 5s, four par 3s and eleven par 4s. Alboran was designed by Ramón Espinosa, one of the most prestigious golf architects, and was constructed and is now run by Garden & Golf. The Club has a 6,278-meter long, 18-hole par-72 Championship course, an extensive practice range, and different training areas.The designer successfully created an important balance between the holes, as regards both the length and the orientation and location of the various elements that make up the course (bunkers, streams, lakes, etc...), offering an enjoyable game of golf on a challenging course where each and every one of the holes will put us to the test. Andratx, Calvia, Mallorca, Spain
From the 1st tee to the 18th green the Andratx course presents a real challenge for all handicap levels. There are 7 strategically placed water hazards and the course has 43 white sand bunkers. It has typical Mallorquin stone walls both new and restored, adding a real local flavour to the surroundings. The course is irrigated with recycled water and natural rainwater from its own reservoir and desalinisation plant. The 6th hole (stroke index 1) is over 600 metres uphill. Left and right the green is guarded by deep bunkers. This, coupled with a beautiful waterfall left of the bunker and a severely sloping green make the hole a real challenge. Anoreta Golf
Añoreta Golf Rincon de la Victoria, Costa del Sol, Spain
Añoreta Golf Club was the second golf course built east of Malaga (at Rincon de la Victoria) , and it was the first to be designed by the renowned Spanish and Ryder Cup player, José Maria Cañizares. The course is 18 holes, par 72, and is 5976 metres from the white tees. There are some difficult holes on this course and also some spectacular scenery as well as sea and coastal views to enjoy. Although the fairways and greens are generally fairly wide, accuracy remains important as there are 11 holes with water hazards on this course. Watch out for the 17th hole, where the green is surrounded on three sides by water. Añoreta Golf Club has a driving range as well as practice facilities and a golf school that offers both individual and group lessons.

Atalaya is composed of two 18 hole par 72 courses, the Old Course and the New Course. Located 3kms from the beach, Bellavista Golf Club is a challenge for all levels golfers, with its narrow fairways, numerous doglegs and numerous opportunities to go out-of-bounds. Its most difficult hole, the par 4 7th, is particularly testing as it requires a drive to an uphill lie then a second shot downhill to a small green surrounded by bunkers. Cabopino
Cabopino Golf Club Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain
Cabopino Golf Club is a scenic 5,170 metres long course and an interesting new addition to Costa del Sol golf. It has three par 3s, two par 5s and 13 par 4s with lakes affecting four holes. The third hole is an interesting par 4 that drops dramatically from the tee to the hole. High handicappers will have to use all clubs in their bag and low handicappers will have to take risks if they want good results. The greens are large and in excellent condition.

Golf El Puerto is a very nice course located 1 km from the centre of Puerto de Santa Maria on the Bay of Cadiz, not far from Jerez international airport. The course was designed by professional and Ryder Cup player Manuel Piñero (who also designed La Quinta). It is a long course with a lot of variety of shots and is suitable for all levels of golfers. Sant Julia de Ramis, Gerona, Spain. Golf Girona opened in 1992. The course was designed by F.G Hawtree, and is 6,100 metres in length. This is the only course in Spain that has been seeded with Pencross. The course takes full advantage of the local topography and the natural shape of the terrain, and offers a challenge to golfers of all levels. It is completely isolated from busy Girona. Greenlife Golf 9 Hole Course
This 9 hole par 3 golf course has a variety of different length holes to suit junior, novice and expert player and improve everyone’s short game. This course is 1,142 metres and is set in luxurious gounds with abundunt vegetation of palm trees and oaks. The narrow well prepared fairways provide for a range of distances. The shortest hole being 89 metres to the longest of 169 metres. Large greens offer a good choice in pin placements and the well-placed water features make this a demanding course. Guadalhorce
Guadalhorce Golf Club was inaugurated in 1990 and has a friendly, family atmosphere. The Par 72 course was designed by Kosti Kuronen and it is divided into two distinct halves. The front nine is not unlike an English parkland course but with more tropical vegetation, while the back nine is the trickier half, with undulating fairways, lakes, and raised greens. Many of the greens prove difficult and some are very large, with a couple of holes sharing large greens. The only municipal course in the Costa del Sol, and a key factor in the fact that the town of Guadiaro produces more Spanish champions than any other place in the country. The front nine is new, opening in 2001, and was designed by David Thomas. The back nine is the original nine holes designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1982. The signature hole is the 18th which is played over the dramatic La Cañada gully. You will enjoy views to the Rio Guadiaro, Mediterranean and Valderrama.
