The Carnoustie Hotel and Golf resort has 3 courses namely the Championship, the Burnside and the Buddon links.A truly classic links course, Carnoustie has hosted six Open Championships since 1931 and is to host the world’s most famous tournament again in 2007. As one of the oldest courses in the world, it has been played by all the great names of golf, but Ben Hogan’s memorable 1953 performance has led to a close association with the course. In 2003 the sixth hole was officially named ‘Hogan’s Alley’ to commemorate the outstanding way in which he negotiated the perilous par 5, during his famous victory. With a daunting cocktail of gales, thick rough and devilish bunkers, it has earned its reputation as the most challenging course in Britain.

Welcome to Crail Golfing Society - seventh oldest golf club in Scotland - dated February 1786.The Society play over two excellent seaside golf courses laid out on an historic spit of land known as Fifeness. The Balcomie course dates from the 19th century and the Craighead Links, a newer course, overlooks the Isle of May, Bass Rock and the East Lothian coastline and presents a very challenging golf experience. The two courses compliment each other perfectly and represent the epitome of golf by the sea.

The Dalmahoy courses are firmly established in the world of golf offering two excellent but contrasting courses. Both were created by the legendary course designer James Braid and test every element of the game. The Championship Course offers an exhilarating challenge with open, forgiving fairways giving the chance of a competitive score. The shorter West Course poses a very different challenge with its tighter fairways and smaller greens calling for a more accurate game and with the final hole across the Gogar burn providing a spectacular end to a memorable round. The Jubilee Course – 6805 yards – par 72

Kingsbarns- 7110 yards - par 72 Only 6 miles from St Andrews, the course sweeps majestically along the sea near the charming village of Kingsbarns. The designer is the American Kyle Philips and the course is one of three hosting the annual Alfred Dunhill Links. Championship. For more than half the holes, the sea is directly in the golfer’s active frame of play. Spacious fairways rolling and twisting through dune ridges and hollows and large inviting greens, make this the ultimate links experience.

The New Course – 6604 yards – par 71.

To play the Old Course the arrangements are that the Hotel staff will enter their guest’s name into the daily ballot which is drawn the day before and results passed to the Hotel at 1600 hrs. A second alternative is to join the waiting golfers – early morning on the day of play when vacancies are taken up. A third option is a guaranteed tee time on the Old Course.
